Hi I have a samsung RS21 NABB without an ice maker both the fridge and freezer have stopped working. The control panel on the front is blank apart from the fridge temp were a small segment is flashing green this segment is at the top of the right hand 88. I have looked at several sites which would indicate the ice maker is at fault but their is no ice maker in this model any comment/fixes most welcome.

Model RS21NCNS. Both fridge and freezer stopped working at the same time. No compressor sound, just a fan somewhere in the background (which stops when you open the door). Power is OK and display seems to be working normally.
Any idea what’s wrong?
Its unusual for both the fridge and the freezer to fail together
The very first thing to check is if the Ice Maker is the cause of the problem as this can cause both the fridge and freezer to fail, and knocks them both out of action.
Both the fridge and the freezer have a LED Display which is like a digital figure 88. Check to see if there are any lights being displayed.

If so you will need to purchase the Ice Maker Kit, and that will resolve your problem.

If it is not the ice maker that is causing the problem then unfortunately the fact that both the fridge and freezer appear to be fault is possibly as a result of a faultily compressor.
If it is not the ice maker please contcat us again, but this is the very firts thing to check
